I’ve posted before but outpatient drug rehab isn’t working for my sister?

jnmacc2003 asked:

She has been in and out of outpatient for a few years but nothing is working and i guess because she is able to somewhat function and work then places wont admit her as inpatient but we desperately need a solution. a drug program that allows its individuals to work there in order to pay for their stay and treatment would be helpful. any other ideas would also be helpful but i’ve been to almost every website.

If she could work long enought to get insurance, she could go inpatient..

Get her into therapy with a professional social worker or psychologist to deal with underlying reasons for her use.
Consult with psychiatrist for possible medication to help her deal with cravings.

Is she willing to go into inpt. treatment?
I understand the Catch 22 of her being “too good” for inpt…if that’s what you meant.

A MD could possibly get her admitted to an inpt. treatment program.

Good luck
