My sister in New Castle, Pennsylvania asks for my help in finding a drug rehab. What should I do?

anneliese tc asked:

I don’t live there but my sister is asking for my help regarding finding a drug rehab for her son. She has just recently found out that her son is taking heroin, and this really shook her up. I have to admit that I’m affected as well. My nephew is a straight A student, the kind of kid who has always been such a good boy. It was just really surprising for me to know this. This must be really tough on my sister, and that’s why I want to do whatever I can to help her. Any suggestions?

The links below will be able to help you in your search for drug rehabs. You can weed through them yourself, or you can send them to your sister. You can also tell your sister to bring her son to the doctor. The doctor will then be able to give your sister suggestions and recommendations as to which drug rehab will be right for her son. I really hope your nephew gets treated soon. It’s always tough when somebody gets addicted to heroin, or any other drug. Good luck. I’ll make sure to pray for your family.

As others have said, if her son wants the help she should take him to a doctor to help them find a facility. You may not be able to help much there, but you can certainly be their support. They will both need a lot of that regardless of how things go. It will be a rocky road, and you can help them through. Let them do the footwork since you’re obviously not there. If you can go visit them, they both may benefit from that. But if your nephew is not on board, I would stay put.
