You may not be able to help much there, but you can certainly be their support. They will both need a lot of that regardless of how things go. It will be a rocky road, and you can help them through. Let them do the footwork since you're obviously not there. If you can go visit them, they both may benefit from that. But if your nephew is not on board, I would stay put.
