Question by Carrie: My sister is extreme?
My sister is a wonderful person when she isn’t trying to get high or drunk. I can’t deal with her anymore because for one I have a daughter to take care of and I do not get high or participate in any illegal activities, I drink occasionally but not like she does. I don’t want to deal with her drama so I feel like I should avoid her when she calls. When she calls me she always wants something like a ride somewhere or to come over and get drunk and I don’t want any drama to go on at my house ! I am 22 years old and she is 20 years old, I love her of course and want to help her but she has been like this since she was 17.. What would you do if this was your sister or brother? I love her and don’t want to just cut her off!

if she was my sister i would talk to her & let her know how i feel about what she is doing. let her know that i am worried because i care for her. I would make sure that she realizes the damage that drinking and getting high does to the human body. maybe ask why she feels the need to do those things? suggest some type of help. anything like that. good luck with her

tell her you wouldnt mind if she is clean and sober to help her but you have to worry about your daughter and she needs an aunt to look up to
